Objectives of the Society

1. To formulate a strategies for the prevention and control of mastitis in dairy animals.

2. To provide an opportunities for the dissemination and exchange of scientific knowledge and innovations through roundtable discussion/meetings/ seminars/conferences.

3. Transfer of technology to stakeholder for augmenting productivity in dairy animals.

4. Creating awareness among dairy owners/ farmers about economic impact of mastitis.

5. Adopting measures towards clean milk production for better profitability of farmers.

What the Association of Mastitis Does?

1. Awareness among dairy farmers regarding economic impact of mastitis in dairy farming.

2. Awareness building among dairy farmers on rational usage of antibiotics and antibiotic resistance.

3. Regular training programs for farmers to improve their farming practices and profit.

4. Sharing Mastitis Research findings with dairy farmers.

5. Hands on practice at dairy farms to develop practical knowledge of farmers to control mastitis.

6. Necessity of record keeping of mastitis to improve udder health.

7. Dry off cows to improve udder health.

8. Site selection, housing and ethical management in dairy farm to improve udder health.

9. Dissemination of knowledge for selection of suitable breed and animals to improve udder health.

10. Feeding management to improve udder health.

11. To develop package of practices for the management of mastitis.

12. Collaboration with various international organizations and scientists who are working in the field of udder health.

13. Invite the field veterinarians, scientists, researchers etc to join the association for betterment of farmers welfare.

14. To promote the research and awareness about antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) by minimize the use of antibiotics through development of alternative therapeutic products and improving farming practices (animal welfare).
